Shade at the touch of a button, built to your wall in 50 cm steps - up to 7 metres wide and 4 metres out.

It folds away into a sealed box, so the fabric never sits out in the sun and rain when you are not using it. Steel chain arms instead of cables, so it stays tight and square instead of sagging after two summers.

The fabric blocks 99% of the sun and sheds a normal shower instead of pooling. When the wind picks up, it pulls itself in.

1.How wide is the wall? 4.00 m

Drag to the width you want covered. Built to order in 50 cm steps — not three fixed sizes off a shelf.

2.5 m 7.0 m
2.How far out should it reach? 3.00 m

Measured from the wall out into the yard. Three metres covers a dining table and chairs with room to walk behind. The projection cannot exceed the width minus 0.55 m — that is how far the folded arms need.

1.5 m 4.0 m
3.Frame finish

Every awning comes with the motor and a handset — nothing to add.

7.Add-ons

Fitted at the factory and wired inside the box — not screwed on later. Add LED lighting or a sun + wind sensor to your build.

Built on a line that also runs for European brands and shipped straight to your door. No importer, no showroom, no reseller margin — that is the whole difference in the price.

Made to your wall in 50 cm steps, from 2.5 m to 7.0 m wide and up to 4.0 m projection (the width must be at least the projection plus 0.55 m). Wall or ceiling mount.

For the technically minded: 6063-T5/T6 aluminium frame with a 6063-T6 front tube (205 MPa tensile against 160 MPa for standard T5). 3.5 mm arm wall, 2.5 mm cassette wall, 304 stainless chain. Fabric blocks 99% of UV and sheds rain at pitch, draining through a concealed gutter. Holds steady fully extended at 40 km/h.

Two people, about an hour. Wall, ceiling or fascia brackets included for every mount type. We send the fixing plan for your wall before it ships. Or use your own installer — no proprietary parts.

Payment is in full at checkout, by card or PayPal. We do not take a deposit and we do not hold your money against a build slot — you are covered instead by 100 days to change your mind after delivery. Buy-now-pay-later is not available yet; when we switch it on, this answer changes.

Delivery is quoted for your postcode before you pay. 6–8 weeks from order, because every unit is cut to your measurements. You get tracking the day it leaves the line.

5-year warranty on frame and motor, 2 years on fabric. 100-day trial: if it does not suit your wall, we take it back.

Ours, out in the world. Filmed on site.

No renders and no stock footage - these are our own awnings, filmed on the job.

Anthracite frame, LED along both arms.
Full cassette — the fabric lives in a sealed box.
Shade moves across the wall before the heat gets inside.
One press, and the LED strip takes over at dusk.

Mansahaus Awnings. Where The Industry Stops, We Start.

Scandinavian Restraint.

Scandinavian Restraint. Aerospace Engineering.

A flat cassette that disappears against the wall, and a frame built to the tolerances of an aircraft wing. Nothing on it is there to be noticed — which is exactly the point.

Manual or Remote.

Manual or Remote. Your Call.

A sealed tubular motor with a remote in the box, plus a manual override crank so it still works in a blackout. Add Wi-Fi control whenever you want it.

Five-year warranty on frame and motor.

Five-year warranty on frame and motor. Parts You Can Reorder.

Frame and motor covered for five years, fabric for two. Motors, remotes, arms and fabric can all be ordered individually — one part failing does not mean a new awning.

Built To Outlast The Industry.

Full sealed cassette design
A heavier frame
Heavy-duty double-chain system
UV-stable canvas, Sauleda optional
Motorised with remote control

Storm-Ready. Built To Stay Put.

Most retractable awnings collapse or warp at 30 km/h. Mansahaus is engineered to hold steady at 40 km/h, fully extended. Reinforced brackets. Double-link chain arms. A heavier frame. Built like the storm is always coming.

10 Years In The Sun. Zero Fade.

Cheap awning fabric loses 30% of its colour in three Australian summers. Standard fabric is a UV-treated polyester canvas; upgrade to Sauleda Spanish marine-grade acrylic, the same fabric trusted on luxury yachts and Mediterranean villas, and it's guaranteed not to fade for 10 full years.

Up To 97% UV Block. 8°C Cooler.

With the Sauleda acrylic upgrade, block up to 99% of UV rays and keep the space under it markedly cooler. Skin protection. Climate control. Engineered into the fabric itself, not added as a coating.

Overengineered. On Purpose.

Fully Sealed Cassette.

Fully Sealed Cassette. Twice The Life.

Most awnings use a single-wall aluminium tube that flexes in wind and sags over time. Mansahaus is engineered with a multi-chamber aluminium profile. Internal ribs and chambers add torsional rigidity — the same principle aerospace engineers use to keep aircraft wings stiff in flight. Stiffer than a hollow extrusion of the same weight. Without the weight.

Double-Link Chain.

Double-Link Chain. 304 Stainless Chain.

The arm is the part that fails first on most awnings. Single chains stretch. Steel cables snap. Cheap pivots wear out by year three. Mansahaus is engineered with a double-link industrial chain, the same kind used in motorcycles and heavy machinery. Built not to stretch. Smooth. Silent. Built never to stretch.

Mounts To Almost

Mounts To Almost Any Surface.

Wall, ceiling, soffit, fascia or a rooftop frame. Mansahaus ships with the hardware for every mount surface, plus a free pre-install site assessment if you are unsure. The awning that adapts to your house, not the other way around.

Operates At Library Volume.

Operates At Library Volume. Quiet.

Cheap awnings grind, creak and rattle their way open. Mansahaus operates under 45 decibels, quieter than a refrigerator. Lubricated stainless gears. Tensioned chain arms that move without a sound.

Your Sun. Your Angle.

Your Sun. Your Angle. Your Call.

Fixed-pitch awnings stop working when the sun gets low. Mansahaus lets you dial the angle to match the season, the time of day, or how hard the rain is coming down. One awning, set to whatever your patio actually needs.

Wind Picks Up.

Wind Picks Up. Awning Retracts Itself.

The optional sun and wind sensor pulls the awning in before a gust does it for you. Set the threshold once and forget it — it works whether you are home or not.

Fits On Your Wall.

Fits On Your Wall. Two People, One Hour.

It mounts to brick, render or timber with M8 fixings. Two people, about an hour, with the fixing plan and the step-by-step video included.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a motorised fabric awning that extends from your wall to create instant shade, then rolls away just as easily when you want open sky. There are no posts and no foundation. It mounts to the house and disappears into a slim cassette housing when retracted.

Big-box awnings are built to a price: single-wall tube, single chain arms, thin printed fabric that fades in two summers. Ours uses a multi-chamber aluminium frame, double-link industrial chain arms that do not stretch, and a heavier canvas — UV-treated polyester as standard, or a Sauleda Spanish marine-grade acrylic upgrade. It is built to your wall in 50 cm steps instead of coming in three fixed sizes.

It adds usable outdoor living space without a build, and without posts, footings or council drama in most cases. A shaded west-facing room also runs measurably cooler, which shows up on the power bill through an Australian summer.

Payment is in full at checkout, by card or PayPal. We do not take a deposit and we do not hold your money against a build slot — you are covered instead by 100 days to change your mind after delivery. Buy-now-pay-later is not available yet; when we switch it on, this answer changes.

Standard fabric is a UV-treated polyester canvas. Upgrade to Sauleda Spanish marine-grade acrylic — the same fabric used on luxury yachts and Mediterranean villas — solution-dyed at the fibre level, guaranteed not to fade for 10 years, blocks up to 99% of UV and keeps the space under it markedly cooler.

Wind class 2, rated to hold steady fully extended at 40 km/h. Reinforced brackets, double-link chain arms and a heavier frame than the category. The optional wind sensor retracts it automatically.

Motorised as standard: sealed tubular motor, remote included. A manual override crank ships with every unit so it still works in a blackout. Wi-Fi control is available as an add-on.

Dimmable LED strips run along the arms, wired into the cassette. No visible cabling, no separate switch — they run off the same remote as the awning.

Two people, about an hour. The cassette lifts onto brackets you fix to the wall, then the arms unfold. We send the fixing plan for your specific wall before the unit ships, along with a step-by-step video.

Wall, ceiling, soffit, fascia or a rooftop frame. Every unit ships with the hardware for your mount surface. Send us a photo and we will do a free pre-install assessment.

For a standard wall-mounted retractable awning on a house, no permit is needed in most Australian councils — there are no posts and no foundation. Strata and heritage properties are the usual exceptions, so check with your body corporate or council first.

Yes. No proprietary parts and no locked fixings, so any handyman or awning installer can put it up. We supply the same fixing plan to them.

5 years on the frame and motor, 2 years on the fabric, covering manufacturing defects and mechanical failure in normal use. Storm damage and installation errors are not covered.

100-day trial. If it does not work on your house, we take it back and refund you. Tell us before you drill and we arrange collection.

Delivery is quoted for your postcode before you pay. 6–8 weeks from order, because every unit is cut to your measurements. Tracking goes out the day it leaves the line.

Motors, remotes, arms, brackets and fabric are all stocked and orderable individually. Nothing on the unit is a sealed assembly.

Sat through a week of rain, no dramas

Left it out in a solid few days of rain to see what would happen. Water runs straight off the front, no pooling, no sagging, no mildew afterwards. I do roll it in overnight now out of habit.

Made the back patio usable again

West-facing concrete out the back, so from about two it was a furnace and nobody sat out there. Put this up and we're eating outside most nights now. Took the two of us about three hours with the brackets into the brick.

Mounted high on a Queenslander

Ours had to go up above the door on the top level and I wasn't sure about the fixings into hardwood. They sent a bracket plan for it before I ordered. Sits dead level and it hasn't moved.

Earning its keep through a Hobart winter

Bought it for summer, but right now it's keeping the rain off the back door and the wood pile. No stiffness in the arms in the cold, which I half expected at this price.

Handled a proper southerly

Nasty gust front came through about three weeks after install and I'd left it half out. Not a mark on it. Only reason it's four stars is I think the wind sensor should come standard at this price — it's going on my next order.

Kids actually eat outside now

Backyard gets full sun from about ten and the table was unusable. The sand colour keeps it feeling bright underneath rather than gloomy, which I was worried about with a darker fabric.
