Privacy Policy — Mansahaus

Mansahaus is registered in Québec, Canada and sells to customers in Australia. Because we carry on business in Australia and collect personal information from people in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to us and we handle your information under it, including Australian Privacy Principle 8 on overseas disclosure. What we collect. Your name, email, phone, delivery address, the measurements and options you enter in the configurator, your order and payment status, photos or drawings you send us, and the messages you send through chat or email. Payment card details go straight to our payment provider and never reach us.

Why we collect it. To quote, build and deliver your awning, to answer your questions, to handle warranty and return claims, to meet our tax and consumer-law record-keeping obligations, and, if you opt in, to send you occasional email about the product.

Who we share it with. Shopify, which hosts the store and processes payments; the manufacturer and freight carriers, who receive only what they need to build and deliver your unit; our email and analytics providers. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

Overseas disclosure. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in Canada, the United States and the European Union. Where information leaves Australia we rely on the provider's contractual data-protection commitments and remain accountable to you for it. We disclose information to anyone else only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it. Order and warranty records for seven years, because tax law and the warranty period both require it. Marketing contact details until you unsubscribe.

Your choices. Email hello@mansahaus.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can complain to us first and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied.
